Laila Abouhaiba is the Development Intern at The Family & Youth Institute. She’s currently a senior at the University of Illinois Chicago, majoring in Applied Psychology with a minor in Nonprofit Management. Her interests in psychology include her work as a research assistant in suicide prevention and youth ADHD, as well as her passion for Islamic psychology, which led her to start The Ruh Project, a Muslim mental health club on campus. In her free time, Laila enjoys writing fiction and poetry, oftentimes also playing her guitar.
