Safaa graduated from The Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College with a bachelors in Computer Science and a minor in Anthropology. She previously worked in the tech sector for a hospital and for other Islamic non-profits, and is excited to use her knowledge and skills to benefit Muslims throughout the United States. She lives in New Jersey with her husband Adam and her daughter Asiya.
