Zainab Jimoh is a Research Fellow at The Family & Youth Institute. She is a current dual degree MD/MPH candidate at the University of Houston College of Medicine and the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health. She previously earned her bachelor’s in Public Health Studies with a minor in Islamic Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She is an aspiring psychiatrist and public health advocate who has a passion for reducing health disparities among minority populations, especially those of the Black Muslim population. She is excited to engage with the American Muslim community to promote mental health and well-being at The FYI.
Fun fact: She’s a bit of a daredevil and loves activities that give her a thrill, like skydiving and rollercoasters!
