Sumbal Raza is the Director of People & Administration at The Family & Youth Institute. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Professional Child Development from the University of Wyoming. She has a Certificate in Human Resources from Dean College. Sumbal has experience in nonprofit administration and human resources. Over her career, she has served in leadership and management roles across nonprofit organizations and small businesses nationwide.

Sumbal is deeply committed to community growth and youth development, Sumbal has been actively involved in the community for over 25 years. She has held numerous youth leadership roles, including serving as a Girl Scout leader for more than 15 years, mentoring and guiding young women in leadership and life skills. She has also served with the Muslim American Society (MAS) in multiple capacities, including as Boston Chapter President and as a member of the National General Assembly.
